My name is Steve, and thank you for visiting our website. TCEvolutions began because of my oldest son, Aaron. His love for Pokémon and the trading card game (TCG) became the true foundation of this small venture. His passion inspired me not only to take a chance on creating TCEvolutions products, but also to learn and play this amazing game myself.

Like most players, we started out using traditional dotted dice to calculate damage with each dot representing 10, multiplied mentally by the number of dots on your Pokémon to find total damage. But back in 2016, while learning the game, my then 11-year-old son struggled with the quick mental math and often miscalculated.
During one test play, out of frustration, he shouted:
“WHY CAN’T THEY JUST PUT NUMBERS ON THESE THINGS?!?”
I paused and thought: Why not?
That moment sparked everything.
With my background in manufacturing CNC-machined high-precision aluminum components, we decided to bring his idea to life. It sounded simple but perfecting it wasn’t. Early production runs were filled with challenges as we worked to eliminate blemishes and imperfections. We knew players expected nothing less than perfection: from the aluminum grade to the machine finish, laser etching, and anodized color. After months of trial and refinement, our first prototype was finally ready.
When we introduced the finished dice to local players, reactions ranged from excitement to skepticism—but we believed in the concept. We knew this creation could forever change how players track damage in Pokémon TCG. That belief was later validated when Pokémon introduced their own numeric damage counters in official ETB products.
From there, our father-and-son journey continued. We shared our products with players at all levels, listening carefully to feedback and expanding our lineup to include ten vibrant colors and other innovations such as GX markers, Ability markers, Burn/Poison markers, and VSTAR markers.
To give back to the community that supported us, we began sponsoring regional prize walls, local League Cups, and special events. We’ve loved meeting players from around the world and remain committed to delivering premium, high-quality Pokémon TCG accessories for everyone who shares our passion.

As our interest in the TCG world grew, so did our product range. In 2023, we entered other TCG genres with our drilled aluminum D6 dice set, perfect for games like Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Disney Lorcana.
Then in July 2024, after months of collaboration with seasoned One Piece TCG players, we originated the idea for “Power Blocks” a clear way for OPTCG players to track and display power during matches. This innovation marked the start of our dedicated OPTCG product line, continuing our mission to bring premium, player-driven design to every corner of the TCG world.
So when we say we’re the original, it’s not a lofty claim. it’s a reflection of our roots. We built our products with the players, for the players.
